5 Thing to Prepare When Hosting Your First Cocktail Party

When you are looking for ideas on what to do this weekend, consider hosting a cocktail party. It is not as intimidating or overwhelming when it becomes something that is done often!

We have put together some helpful hints and tips so your guests will have an awesome time while also telling them all about your favorite drinks!

1. Premixed Drinks

You cannot go wrong with a classic cocktail! Choose one or two popular drinks that you want to serve at your next party - like the Old-Fashioned, Negroni & Tequila sunrise.

Mix all of its ingredients in advance so they are ready when guests arrive (just make sure not too much time passes between mixing). Then pour them into pitchers and keep refrigerated until it's serving day; these will be delicious additions for any get together over again because we know how much everyone loves drinking out ingredients straight from fridge cocktails without having mixed anything themselves beforehand.

2. Homemade Syrups

Handmade syrups are an easy way to elevate your cocktail game. Whether you are serving classic mojitos or adventurous Absinthe frappes, there's no wrong time for a batch of simple syrup!

Simple cocktails just got even better with these new additions from home base mixologists around the world - who knows what they’re doing when it comes down to their favorite tipple: Tequila sunrise? Yes please!!!

You can also make a special ginger or lavender syrups to have even more options for your next party.

3. Eco-Friendly Straws

Sipping responsibly with reusable straws is the way to go! There are many options out there for both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. You can even get creative by using them as part of your bar program, or just have one on hand at all times so that you’re never caught without a drink in hand again.

Straws made of glass, metal, or paper will impress guests and boost your party’s sustainability factor.

4. Crushed Ice

You can either just buy a bag of nugget ice from your local grocery store, or if you have the time to prep beforehand then why not make it yourself? It is much more fun and interactive.

A few days before the big party, prepare a few dozen ice cubes and store them in a bag in the freezer.

The next morning, add them to the blender in 2-3 cup portions. Add cold water to cover half of the ice and beat until most pieces are about a quarter inch in size. Use a fine sieve to get rid of the water and voila! You have crushed ice that you can put in the freezer until the drinks are ready to assemble.

5. Cocktail Napkins

Serving finger foods at your cocktail party is a great option because you will have little to no cutlery. However, it does mean messy fingers so be prepared! The act of preparing napkins during parties suggests good etiquette on behalf of everyone involved in making and serving these tasty treats.

With fabric napkins, you are not only looking at a higher cost but also an extra step in the process. However, they do have their benefits such as being eco-friendly and having more style options to choose from when paired with your theme!

Planning a cocktail party can be intimidating, but with these tips, you will have an amazing time! We hope that we have given you a few ideas on how to make your first cocktail party go smoothly and ensure that your guests have a great time.
